MINI IMPLANTS
Mini dental implants are tiny sized implants made from titanium. These miniature sized dental implants are just like the roof of your mouth in that the top of the implant is a retaining fixture that snaps into a corresponding appliance on the denture. This results in a more comfortable and stable denture that lets you enjoy life without worrying about your teeth.
How Are Mini Implants Different From Ordinary Sized Implants?
Regular-sized dental implants need a certain amount of bone structure to surgically implant the post. Mini implants don’t need as much space. This means less bone is required.
Placing mini implants is usually less time-intensive than full-sized implants. Full-sized implants usually require several months of healing before dental restorations are placed on top. Mini implants on the other hand can often support a denture right away.
Mini implant placement is usually simple and relatively pain-free with recovery in just a day or two. Modifications to the denture are made on the same day as placement. This means you can begin wearing your new teeth right away.
